Back to Darfur

I was watching This Week for some reason this morning (I'm not a huge George S. fan) , and this little bit about Darfur came up. I have written about Darfur before (Sep. 19) - several thousand have died since then, and still no solutions from the United Nations. Go figure. I wonder how much more killing will have to take place before the U.N. finally throws in the towel?

A Ticket is Not a License to Commit Assault

THIS GUY is absolutely right about the recent NBA brawl. It speaks to a much larger issue between players and fans. The players certainly deserved the suspensions they received, but the fans have got to get control of themselves. A ticket to a professional game of any sport is not a license to commit crimes. Local prosecutors and judges are going to have to take a stand and make examples of the fans involved. Thirty days in a local county jail would do wonders for all the idiot hot-heads out there who go after or throw things at the players.

My bet is that we will see much more of this, and not just in the NBA. It will be interesting to see how the leagues and law enforcement agencies will react...

It's clear to me that the elitist lefties have no problem with bigotry and racism when they are the ones committing it. The recent political cartoons in the lefty newspapers regarding Dr. Rice are ample evidence.

News flash to the lefty racists: Dr. Rice has more class than 99% of the population... Through the numerous cartoons and overtly racist comments since her nomination for Secretary of State, you've been exposed- I only hope that your followers start to realize the truth.

Get Off the Marines' Backs

Tom over at The Nap Room is 100% correct about the Marine who shot the half-alive insurgent in Falluja. He was doing his job, which is to blow stuff up and kill people. I'm sure he had no idea whether that particular terrorist was hiding a weapon or not...
Would you be willing to risk your life by turning your back on such a 'harmless' terrorist? I think not. Neither would I. The marine in question should be immediately sent back to combat, with a pat on the shoulder for ridding the world of one more terrorist...

A Special Post for Friends and Family

This is my daughter, M. She's asleep, but apparently somewhat content... (and now perfectly healthy, thanks to Arkansas Children's Hospital) Some additional Email pics will be sent separately, give me some time...

Update

I apologize for not having pictures up yet- the baby has a little lung issue to overcome before we get her home... Should be no big deal, but for now we are at Arkansas Children's Hospital, which we've heard is one of the best in the nation. As soon as we get home, pics we be up!

New Addition

The baby was born yesterday... My mind is still numb, so I won't type much... I will get a picture or two up by late tonight, however! She weighed 6 lbs, 4 oz, and in my professional medical opinion, seems to be doing just fine. More later, back to the hospital I go!

***Update- Will put pics up ASAP, but for now she has a lung complication to overcome... Looks like she will be fine...
